19)  Horizontal scrowling not permitted. Screen size of 640 by 480 pixels only.

20)  Text should be allowed to fill availible width. This will come into play when viewed by wider screen resolutions.

21)  Pages should be designed to load in 15 or less seconds using 28k baud rate modems.

22)  It is recommended that links be used to other pages for unique subjects. The goal is to enhance the speed of loading and the minimization of transmitted bytes on loading.

23)  Graphics should not exceed 600 pixels wide and either ".gif" or ".jpg" used which ever contains the lessor number of bytes. Recommend a resolution of 72 pixels per inch on all graphics.

24)  Avoid gizmos: JavaScripts, Flash or frames. Bells and whistles will NEVER help your page' ranking. In fact, it will hurt your site's indexing or ranking in the Search Engines and will annoy most of your viewers. So, just don't do it!

Joshuatreevillage.com was originally envisioned as a tool to promote Joshua Tree in Its position in the world and among it's neighboring communities of Yucca Valley and Twenty Nine Palms California. Joshua Tree is central to the area.

All pages on the site are to have some connection to Joshua Tree to be included therein.

The interest of the home and property owners in the Joshua Tree area are to be emphasized along with the commercial enterprises and the many organizations and government offices.

Because the Internet is a new player in the world of business and Joshua Tree being a relatively small community, it was felt that the cost of advertizement and promotion on such a site could not support it's self until proven.

Therefore, the idea was to build the site using community help and involvement and not charging the commercial enterprises for their pages on the site. From inception until now and the foreseeable future, this will remain the policy.

When proven readership and proven profit from the site's presentations occur, the plan is to negotiate a fee for each of the business that is tailored to that business profit from the site presentation. Such a system as "Shop Cart" should work to every one's benefit.

It is expected that the Non Profit organizations presentations will never be charged. Some time, they may be asked for a small voluntary donation to help defray expenses. There is no plan for that now and the same rule will apply; is the site bringing income to the organization.
