Welcome to the Friendly Hills Elementary School GATE web page We have  spent the last two months doing research on local history.  We concentrated our research on the history of Miners, Homesteaders, Indians, and Cattlemen of the Morongo Basin. We had Rangers from JTNP, Local artist, Tony Soares, and Local historian Eric Weston come to visit our school.

We went on field trips to local historical sites in Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. We learned a lot and we hope you do too, enjoy.
