This is the outside of an old
miners cabin. It is located in Joshua Tree National Park, in California.
The front is built out of small rocks stacked to make a weatherproof wall.
The window appears to be store bought. The miner must have
bought the window on one of his 2 - 3 week long trips to Banning for supplies.
The roof was made out of crisscrossed logs and wood planks. The
mines in this area are very deep so the miner must have found a very good
vein of gold. Ian Blanding |
