First Southern Baptist Church of Joshua Tree is a local body of believers dedicated to the Great Commandment and carrying out the Great Commission. The foundation of our fellowship is the Word of God and inspired teaching and preaching is the center of our focus. We are committed to discipling the local body of believers, strengthening family values and gearing up the saints to equip them for ministry in thc local community. We support home and foreign missions through the cooperative program of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Adult Ministries
Sunday School for Adults: One major Sunday School
Class taught by Michael Eidson. Two classes provided for children.
Prayer Chain: Need prayer support? Call Captain Sandy Eidson and
God's people will soon be lifting you up in prayer! Have a praise? Let
us rejoice with you and give God the glory!
Body of Deacons: These are the servants of the church, ready and
willing to minister to your family. When you want to know about something
at church ask a deacon! Our deacons are available anytime to help you.
Music Ministry: We have an upbeat ministry just waiting to use your
talents! Join our organist, pianist and drummer. We need vocalists, a choir
director, percussionist (vibes) and sound technicians.
Food Pantry: This vital ministry meets the needs of people who may
need a little help to get by. Providing food and toiletries in an emergency,
volunteers collect and shelve donated items and distribute them to needy
families.
Praise, Prayer, Bible Study: Mid-week praise, prayer and Bible
Study to uplift you.
Kids Ministries
Sunday
Junior Church: For kids age 5 to 12, this special time introduces kids to worship and praise, through the use of song, puppets, stories, and bible lessons.
AW AN A Cubs: Get the kids interested enough, and they'll hide God's Word in their hearts! AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Tim.2:15) and is a miracle in progress. Games and fun events are the drawing card, then clubbers stay to earn awards by passing sections in their handbooks, while hearing the Good News each week. We have clubs for kids from ages 3-13.
Nursery Care: Nursery is available at all major
services. Parents Volunteers on a rotating basis provide loving care and
healthy snack.
