Preschool Services Department's mission is to provide quality, comprehensive early child development programs and family services to meet the needs of children and families from birth through five years of age in San Bernardino County.

Preschool Services Department's mission will be carried out through, but not limited to the following activities:

Providing activities and experiences supporting parents as the primary educators for their children.
[Top] Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with families.
[Top]Providing quality programs and services through a continuous improvement process.
[Top]Providing assessments that identify each child's developmental status and progress.
[Top]Ensuring families are involved in the process of developing an individual plan for the child and family.
[Top]Supporting active learning opportunities and experiences that encourage children to develop skills and cognitive abilities.
[Top]Providing a curriculum that fosters real life problem-solving skills, independence and social competence.
[Top]Providing a foundation for school readiness and success.
[Top]Establishing and maintaining collaborations with local educational and other community agencies to facilitate successful transitions for all children.
[Top]Providing an environment of respect for diversity by showing respect for all cultures.
[Top]Encouraging an appreciation for diversity by showing respect for all cultures.
[Top]Building a learning community for all children, families and staff.
